Daniele Lequaglia

Daniele is an Italian sopranist born is Ciro, Calabria. From a young age, he displayed an innate talent for music, dedicating himself passionately to vocal studies and refining his singing technique. Throughout his career, Daniele has participated in numerous competitions and music festivals, earning recognition for his unique voice and interpretative skills. His dedication and commitment have led him to perform in various theatres and concert halls, where he has captivated audiences with his moving performances. In addition to live performances, Lequaglia has collaborated with various musicians and composers, contributing to recording projects and participating in productions that span from classical to contemporary repertoire. His versatility has allowed him o explore different musical genres, enriching his repertoire and expanding his artistic horizons. Daniele is known for his extraordinary voice and the passion with which he interprets the sopranist repertoire. He helps to promote and enhance appreciation for this unique vocal register in the Italian music scene. His dedication to the art of singing and his commitment to promoting music make him a prominent figure in the contemporary musical world.

Alexandra Babbel

Teaches from home

With four tertiary degrees in Voice, Opera and Pedagogy and head of voice at Trinity University, Chicago, as well as founding Opera Kelowna in British Columbia, Canada, Alexandra now enjoys a private voice studio. She has prepared numerous singers for university acceptance and now has over 11 pupils singing professionally. Alexandra has adjudicated numerous festivals and is in love with teaching. She is kind, encouraging, and has high standards.

Jessica Crawford, B.A(Mus), ARCT (Piano Performance), ARCT (Vocal Performance), RMT, NATS, RCM Advanced Specialist Piano, RCM Intermediate Specialist (Theory) Member of the BCRMTA (Kelowna Branch) Jessica Crawford has been involved in music since the age of five, and has been studying piano since age nine. She began her studies under Lucy Feldman of the Vernon Community Music School, and completed her Grade 10 Royal Conservatory while in high school. In 2003, she was admitted into the music program at the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus. While there, she studied piano under Dr. Milton Schlosser, and voice under Joy-Anne Murphy. She graduated in 2007 with a B.A in Music, Vocal Specialization. Jessica completed her Piano Performance ARCT through the Royal Conservatory in 2011, and finished her Vocal Performance ARCT in 2018. She obtained her Advanced Specialization in Piano and Intermediate Specialization in Theory through the Royal Conservatory in 2016. Jessica settled in Kelowna BC in 2008, and has been teaching at the Kelowna Community Music School since. Jessica also served as the Artistic Director of the Kelowna Community Music School from 2020-2023. Apart from teaching, Jessica does extensive work as a collaborative pianist, currently working with the music ministry team for Central Okanagan United Church, Spectrum Singers, and the Okanagan Children's Choir and Okanagan Youth Choir. In her spare time, Jessica expresses her art through weaving (www.twilightvalleyhandwovens.ca) and you can find her at artisan markets and art shows throughout the valley. She also plays music for fun (haha), and is currently working on her level 6 Harp.

Siobhan Raupach

Voice

Originally from Vernon, BC, Siobhan received her Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice Performance from the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, where she graduated with an honorary distinction of Outstanding Performance in Voice. She also holds both a Master of Music and a Post Graduate Degree in Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.  Siobhan loves performing a wide variety of repertoire. She has performed lead roles in operas such as The Magic Flute, Cosi fan Tutte and The Turn of Screw. Some of her musical theater credits include Into the Woods, Peter Pan and Singin’ in the Rain. She is currently a soprano soloist at the Unitarian Society of Germantown and is also a member of Duo Promessa. ​ Music and theater have been a part of Siobhan’s life since she was born. Her love for the theater has never waned and she can’t wait to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with her students.
