About the event
Canada Music Week
The Canadian Federation of Music Teachers Association (CFMTA) was founded in 1935 by a group of professional musicians and teachers in Vancouver, BC. Canada Music Week was initiated in 1960 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the CFMTA. The goal of CFMTA is simple: to connect the listening audience with Canadian composers; to introduce young musicians to Canadian musical pieces; and to encourage music educators to widen their knowledge of Canadian content. KCMS is proud to join musicians of all ages across Canada celebrating our nation’s rich musical heritage!
November 14, 2026 @ 2:30pm
Celebrate Canadian Composers including our own KCMS Composing Contest winners as their premiere their award-winning pieces.
