Apr 25: Brilliance and Shadows

Three virtuosic masterpieces from the romantic and post-romantic periods. Enjoy a dazzling display of technical prowess in Wieniawski's "Variations on an Original Theme" before turning to the stormy, haunting lyricism of Grieg's "Sonata in C minor.” Anchoring the recital deep in the shadows, Grieg's ether of Nordic melancholy transitions to the raw, rustic energy of Croatian Folklore in Lhotka's virtuosic rendition of the “Harvester's Song”.

Musicians:

Vincenzo Iormetti (violin), Paul Dykstra (piano)
